How to Choose a St. Petersburg Wedding Venue (A Videographer's Advice)
After filming hundreds of Florida weddings, here's what we tell couples to look for — beyond the website photos:
- Natural light. Waterfront and garden venues like Sunken Gardens, the Don CeSar, and the Vinoy give you bright, cinematic footage. For indoor ballrooms, ask about the lighting plan.
- Ceremony timing. Where the sun sits at your ceremony time matters more than almost anything. St. Pete's Gulf-side sunsets are unbeatable — a late-afternoon beach ceremony at the Don CeSar or a Zamora rooftop is hard to top on film.
- Space to move. Your videographer and photographer need room to find angles without crowding guests.
- A clean getting-ready room. Bright, uncluttered prep spaces open your film. The Vinoy and Hotel Zamora handle this well.
